What is Scan & Deliver?
Scan & Deliver allows current staff and students to request an individual scanned copy of one chapter (or 5%) of a monograph (printed book) or one article per issue of a journal from collections held by Cambridge University Libraries, subject to relevant conservation approval and copyright permissions.
It is possible to order a printout of a chapter or article from material held as Electronic Legal Deposit (usually accessed via designated computers). This material will be delivered in printed form only for a charge of £2 per full printout.
Who is eligible to use Scan & Deliver?
The service is available to all current staff and students. We regret that the service is not available to members of other universities or private researchers, including those with a University Library Reader's Card.
What items can be requested?
Items in the University Library's modern collections, including open and closed stacks, Main reading room, West Room and the Library Storage Facility can be requested; this includes reference items.
Where possible, items from Faculty and Department Libraries can also be requested. The Betty & Gordon Moore Library has now been added to the list of locations from which scans can be sourced.
Regrettably, newspapers and uncatalogued items are not available for this service.
