The Betty & Gordon Moore Library

Did you know that taking breaks from intensive study has been proven to improve attention and to reinvigorate your senses?

So, break space, chillout zone, leisure nook, rest stop, call it what you like - it's an area where you can now take a break from your intensive study. There's our comfiest chairs and a sofa to curl up on as well as more beanbags. You'll also find some well-sourced works of literature in this section, an expanding jigsaw and board game collection and a drinks and snacks machine all close to hand. Best of all, there are no noise restrictions and you can drink and eat your cold snacks here.

Please note: As a result of mess and stains left on the carpet we cannot permit the eating of hot food in the library. Take-away food should not be ordered for or consumed in the library. Instead, it can be consumed at the picnic tables outside the building.
