The Betty & Gordon Moore Library

  • Good news: By Lent Term, at the latest, we hope to have a new self-service borrowing system operating in the Betty & Gordon Moore Library.
  • Bad news: The library will be closed to all readers on the 22nd December. This includes anyone with 24 hour access.

The reason for the bad news is to allow for essential works to take place in the lobby entrance, in preparation for the installation of the new security gates that will form part of the new system.

Readers are permitted to work in the building up to 07:00 on the morning of the 22nd December, but may well be asked to vacate before work commences at 07:30.

Access/exit will be restricted for the duration of the work, which is expected to be completed before the end of the day on the 22nd.

Access to the library will return to normal after the work has been completed

We do hope this won’t cause too much inconvenience and we thank you for your patience.
