We are pleased to announce three new teaching sessions, with free sandwich lunches, on Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikimedia that will be running every Thursday from 22 June to 6 July 2017.
- The first session will explore the history of Wikipedia and help you understand its editorial process.
- The second session will touch briefly on the major aspects of Wikidata, some of the ways it is used, and will help you understand more about how Wikidata works.
- The final session will cover how Wikidata relates to the systematic text mining of the scientific literature and will help you understand how to work with data within a Wikimedia context.
Each session is open to all though we would especially like to encourage librarians, and anyone working with facts and information such as researchers, to come along.
Find out more information including booking details and what you will need to bring to each session on our Research Events pages.
